Introducing Quick Login: Your wallet remembers you, wherever you open it

Set up or restore your Solflare wallet using your Google or Apple account. No re-typing your seed phrase on every device.

Switching to a new phone or using Solflare on another device might have meant digging through old notes, screenshots, or a drawer somewhere, hoping you could still find the 12 words you wrote down months ago.

Now, with Quick Login, you don’t have to anymore.

What is Quick Login?

Quick Login lets you create a new wallet or restore an existing one using your Google or Apple account instead of typing a recovery phrase. Your phrase is encrypted and stored in your own Google or Apple cloud, not on a Solflare server.

Set it up once, and moving between mobile and extension, or setting up a brand new device, takes seconds. No twelve words to write down or type back in.

Existing users can turn Quick Login on from Settings. New users see it right on the welcome screen.

It stays optional (always!)

Quick Login doesn’t replace your recovery phrase. It sits alongside it, as a parallel path you can use or ignore.

Your recovery phrase still exists. It’s still stored on your device, exactly like it always was. You can still create a wallet the traditional way, still export your phrase anytime, still back it up on paper or a hardware wallet if that’s what you prefer. Nothing about using Solflare requires Quick Login, and nothing about it ever will.

Turning it on is your call. Turning it off is too. You can add or remove recovery phrases from cloud backup anytime in Settings.

Important to know: Your phrase lives in your own cloud account, not Solflare's. If you lose access to that Google or Apple account, Solflare can't recover it for you, the same responsibility that comes with self-custody in general.

Works across every device

Once Quick Login is on, your wallet setup follows you. Sign in on your phone, open the extension on your laptop, and the same wallet is right there, no manual re-import.

It’s not just the recovery phrase that syncs. Wallet names, wallet ordering, favorites, and your background and appearance settings all carry across devices too.

One thing worth knowing: sync applies to every recovery phrase on a device where Quick Login is active. It’s all or nothing, not a per-wallet choice.

Get started

If you’re an existing user, head to Settings to turn on Quick Login. If you’re setting up Solflare for the first time, you’ll see the option right on the welcome screen.

Either way, your recovery phrase is still there if you’d rather use it. Quick Login is just one more way in.

The faster way into your wallet

Restore or set up your wallet with your Google or Apple account. No hunting down or manually entering your recovery phrase.

FAQs

What is Quick Login?

Quick Login lets you create a new wallet or restore an existing one using your Google or Apple account. Your recovery phrase is encrypted and stored in your own Google or Apple cloud, not on a Solflare server.

Where do I find it?

Existing users: Settings → Security & Privacy → Quick Login. New users see it right on the welcome screen when setting up Solflare for the first time.

What can I do with it?

Create a new wallet with your recovery phrase backed up to your own cloud, import wallets you’ve previously backed up that way, and add or remove recovery phrases from cloud backup anytime. Wallet names, ordering, and background/appearance settings sync across devices too.

Does this replace my recovery phrase?

No. Recovery phrase creation and import stay fully available as a parallel path. Quick Login is additive, not a replacement.

What happens if I lose access to my Google or Apple account?

Quick Login safety is your responsibility, the same way self-custody always is. Solflare can’t recover a recovery phrase for you if you lose access to your Quick Login account. Your app passcode still unlocks the app locally either way, but syncing and backup through that account won’t work until you regain access to it.

Can I choose which recovery phrases sync to which devices?

No. Sync is all-or-nothing. Every recovery phrase on a device where Quick Login is active gets backed up to that cloud account, and removing one removes it everywhere Quick Login is active.

Does this replace my app passcode?

No. You still need your passcode or biometrics to open the app. Quick Login only changes how your wallet is created or restored.
