FAQs
How to buy SOL?
To buy SOL, open your Solflare wallet and tap Deposit on your portfolio page or any individual token page. You'll see options to buy via the standard onramp (card, bank transfer, or local payment methods) or to receive funds from another wallet. Just follow the steps to complete your purchase. Once processed, the SOL will be delivered directly to your wallet.
US users also have access to a faster buying option powered by Coinbase — just confirm your email and phone number and pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay. Standard limits apply: up to $500 per week with a 15-transaction lifetime cap. You can also unlock higher limits (up to $2,500/week, no transaction cap) by providing your date of birth and SSN once through the flow.
My ledger keeps on having errors with my Solflare wallet, how do I fix this?
If you’re seeing connection or signing issues with Ledger, the most common fix is to re-enable USB permissions in your browser settings under Privacy & Security. Also, make sure that Blind Signing is enabled in Ledger Live. Once that’s done, try reconnecting your wallet.
Why is there a warning symbol next to my tokens, and how can I remove it?
Tokens that appear with a warning or "unverified" tag may not have passed verification checks yet. This could mean the token was just minted in the past 24 hours, hasn’t been registered through Jupiter’s verification platform, or simply lacks enough liquidity or trading volume. Some tokens are also too new to have reached a minimum number of holders. While these tokens can still be real, you should verify their legitimacy using a decentralized exchange like Jupiter, Raydium, Birdeye, or Dexscreener before making any trades.
How do I delete my wallet?
You can’t delete a wallet from the blockchain itself, but you can remove it from your device. Transfer your assets elsewhere, then delete the wallet from your app or extension. If you’re done with it entirely, burn the recovery phrase and leave the wallet unused.
How do I log in or log out of my Solflare Wallet?
Solflare doesn’t use traditional logins. You unlock your wallet with a recovery phrase, private key, or hardware wallet. Locking your wallet secures it with a passcode or biometrics. Logging out removes the wallet entirely — you’ll need to re-import your recovery phrase to get back in. To adjust lock settings, go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Auto-Lock.
How to stake or unstake?
Open the Solflare app.
To stake: Tap “Stake” → Choose a validator → Enter the amount of SOL → Confirm.
To unstake: Go to “Staking” → Tap your staked SOL → Hit “Unstake.”
Note: Unstaking on Solana takes one full epoch (about 2–4 days) before you can withdraw your SOL.
Why is my portfolio balance different from what I actually have?
Solflare outsorces its price feed data so it is possible that you may be temporarily seeing inaccurate pricing. This does not mean your tokens or NFTs are worth more or less on the actual market. Please note that scam tokens or NFTs often inflate their price data to appear more valuable than they really are, which can further distort what you see in the wallet.
Also, there’s the possibility of a temporary syncing issue with the blockchain but rest assured, your actual holdings are safe — the portfolio value is just an estimate based on available price info.
How can I delete scam NFTs, and is this one a scam?
If an NFT you didn’t mint claims you’ve won something or contains sketchy links, it’s most likely a scam. Don’t click anything. You can safely burn scam NFTs using sol-incinerator.com, or hide them from view in the Solflare app. Report any scams through Settings > Support.
Why is my wallet or its assets not loading properly? Why are some missing?
Try refreshing the token list, closing and reopening the app, switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, toggling your VPN on or off, or restarting your device. Also check if you’ve disabled any tokens in the token list. If the issue persists, make sure the app is updated or reinstall it (only after backing up your recovery phrase). Still stuck? Reach out via the Support option in the wallet or visit help.solflare.com.
When swapping a token, there's a warning that says Price Impact or No/Low Liquidity Available. What should I do?
That means the token you’re trying to swap has low trading activity or not enough liquidity. This can result in receiving much less than expected, or being unable to complete the swap. You can try swapping a smaller amount or wait for better liquidity conditions.
I mistakenly sent my tokens to the wrong address, can I recover it?
Sadly, no. Blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible - once they go through, they cannot be cancelled. If you don’t own or don’t have any control over the address you sent your tokens to, your tokens are gone. Always double-check before sending, especially with copy-pasted addresses.
Why haven’t my tokens arrived at the CEX after sending them from my Solflare Wallet?
First, make sure you sent a token that’s actually supported by the exchange and that you selected the correct network (Solana). If you’ve confirmed both, it might just be a delay on the exchange’s end. Deposits typically arrive within minutes, but sometimes take up to 30 minutes. If your tokens are still missing, contact the exchange’s support.
How do I withdraw my crypto to my bank account?
You’ll need to use a centralized exchange (CEX) like Coinbase or Binance. First, send your tokens from Solflare to your CEX account (we recommend using the Solana network). Then, sell them for fiat (like USD or EUR) and withdraw that to your bank account from the exchange.
Or try our upcoming Solflare Card, which lets you spend USDC directly.
I lost my recovery phrase, what should I do?
If you’re still logged into the wallet on any device, you may be able to export your phrase or private key from there. If no, unfortunately, there’s no way to recover access.
That’s the trade-off with full ownership: we can’t reset or recover anything for you. If you still have access to your wallet, move your assets to a new one and store the new phrase safely.
How do I import my wallet?
You can import your wallet using either your recovery phrase (preferred) or your private key.
Go to: Account Switcher > Edit > Add Wallet > Import private key
Or, if you are starting from scratch, during the initial wallet setup tap ""I already have a wallet"" and enter your recovery phrase. That phrase is your wallet — enter it correctly, and your assets will show up automatically. You can also import using a private key or keystore file if you’ve backed those up.
Note: Multiple recovery phrases aren’t supported yet — but it’s coming.
How do I export my recovery phrase?
If you're using the mobile app, tap the account switcher (top-left), tap Edit, then the three-dot menu, and select ""Export Recovery Phrase.""
On the browser extension or web version, hover over your wallet, click the three-dot menu and “Export recovery phrase”.
Only export it in a safe and private place.
My solflare wallet can't detect my recovery phrase and if it does it shows the wrong wallet address.
This usually means you entered a different recovery phrase or typed with a typo. Even one wrong word can generate a completely different wallet. Double-check the spelling, order, and spacing. Also, make sure you’re entering the phrase using the correct format (typically 12 or 24 words). Check all saved phrases you’ve used before and go to Advanced options to check different derivation paths.
Why do my swaps keep on failing?
Swaps can fail for a few reasons. The price of the token may have changed too quickly (this is called slippage), there may not be enough liquidity for the token pair you're trying to swap, or you may not have enough SOL to cover transaction fees. Try adjusting slippage tolerance, check if the token is active and has trading volume, and make sure you have enough SOL in your wallet. Also, sometimes it might just be your Internet connection lagging, so make sure it works properly.
My wallet says Insufficient fees when I have USDC, why is that?
That’s because Solana’s network fees can only be paid in SOL. You might have plenty of USDC, but without a little SOL in your wallet, your transactions won’t go through. Add some SOL, and you’ll be back on track. We recommend you always have at least 0.01–0.05 SOL in your wallet for transactions and other activities.
Why can't I do any transactions, like sending tokens or unstaking?
You might not have enough SOL to cover the network (gas) fees. Even if you're using USDC or another token, every Solana transaction needs a tiny bit of SOL to go through. Try topping up your wallet with a small amount of SOL — it's recommended to have at least 0.01 SOL to perform any action.
I bought SOL through your app, but I haven't received it yet. Could you explain why?
Solflare partners with third-party providers for SOL and other SPL token purchases. Depending on your region and the buying method you used, the payment is processed by providers like MoonPay, Transak, or Coinbase (for US users using the fast buy option).
These providers may need time to process the payment — especially if it's your first time or there are verification steps involved. If it's been a while, check your email for updates from them, or reach out to their support directly.
I received NFTs and tokens that are unauthorized. Are these legit?
Most likely not. Scammers often send junk tokens and fake NFTs hoping you'll click on them or connect your wallet to a malicious site. Do not interact with them. You can safely hide or burn them from within your Solflare Wallet.
What should I do if I get scammed?
Unfortunately, crypto transactions are irreversible — so if someone tricks you into sending tokens, it’s unlikely you’ll get them back. That said, you can do something to prevent things from getting even worse.
First and foremost, stop interacting with the scam site or wallet. Also, revoke any permissions you’ve granted (you can use Solana explorers or tools like solana.fm). It may be smart to create a brand new wallet with a fresh recovery phrase, then transfer any remaining funds to the new wallet.
And most importantly, stay alert — if it feels shady, it probably is.
What is a non-custodial wallet?
A non-custodial wallet like Solflare gives you full control of your private keys — meaning you, and only you, control your crypto. A private key is like a secret code that proves you're the true owner of your wallet. The private keys are usually stored as a 12-24-word recovery phrase which gives your full control. That's why you should never share your recovery phrase and always store it in a secure location.
