A death cross occurs when a shorter-term moving average crosses below a longer-term moving average, most commonly when the 50-day average falls below the 200-day average. Traders interpret it as a bearish signal that momentum has weakened. It’s the opposite of a golden cross. Because moving averages are based on past prices, a death cross may appear only after a substantial decline has already occurred. Explore trading with Solflare.
