Will Sony Pictures Animation release 'KPop Demon Hunters 2" before 2027?
If Sony Pictures Animation releases KPop Demon Hunters 2 to the public before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.
For the purposes of this market, Sony Pictures Animation is considered the rights holder and producer of KPop Demon Hunters, regardless of distribution arrangements (e.g., as a Netflix Original). A “commercial release” shall mean the first public availability of a movie sequel to KPop Demon Hunters (e.g., KPop Demon Hunters 2 or another direct continuation in the same film franchise) to the general public, whether through streaming (including a Netflix-exclusive) or direct-to-digital/home media release. Other films with unrelated titles or concepts, even if involving K-pop themes, are excluded. Limited festival screenings, private previews, or promotional showings do not qualify unless they coincide with or constitute the official wide release to the general public.
